FSDEA strengthens strategic partnerships in Brazil
As part of its economic diversification agenda and commitment to promoting impactful investments in Angola, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund (FSDEA), Armando Manuel, held a working meeting on Tuesday, 29 July, in Brasília with the Brazilian Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, as well as with several Brazilian financial institutions.
The meetings focused on exploring cooperation opportunities in the fields of animal and vegetal protein production—strategic sectors for Angola’s food security and sustainable industrialisation. Brazil, known for its comparative advantages in these areas, stands out as a key partner in strengthening Angola’s productive and technological capacities. In particular, Angola can leapfrog by leveraging Brazil’s extensive expertise and technological breakthroughs led by institutions such as Embrapa in the agro-industrial domain.
These efforts are part of FSDEA’s strategy to mobilise global partnerships to support transformative projects in Angola, fostering job creation, import substitution, and increased exports in the agri-food sector.
