Lottie Empreendimentos Receives Breeding Birds to Boost Poultry Production in Angola
Luanda, February 21, 2025 – Lottie Empreendimentos, a poultry company participated by the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund (FSDEA), received this morning at Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Icolo e Bengo a private aircraft from the Republic of Zambia, carrying 35,000 high-standard breeding birds of the Ross308 lineage (parent stock). This event marks the beginning of a crucial phase in large-scale day-old chick production in the Cuanza-Norte province, aimed at supplying poultry farms focused on broiler chicken production.
The Ross308 lineage is widely recognized for its rapid growth rate, excellent feed conversion, and high meat yield in the breast, thighs, and drumsticks.
This initiative is fully aligned with the strategy of the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund, which seeks to strengthen the animal protein value chain, address supply shortages, stimulate the creation of direct and indirect jobs, promote internal monetary circulation, and generate various benefits for the national economy. Furthermore, the implementation of this strategy will create new market opportunities for emerging grain producers associated with the Angola Agricultural Association (AAPA), fostering a more integrated, resilient, and sustainable business environment.
Lottie Empreendimentos is part of a group of five co-investment projects by the FSDEA, strategically distributed across the country to help balance regional disparities.
