Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund (FSDEA) at the 16th Annual Meeting of International Sovereign Wealth Funds

FSDEA was represented at the 16th Annual Meeting of International Sovereign Wealth Funds in Muscat, Oman, held from November 4 to 6, 2024. Leading the delegation was the Chairman of the Board, Armando Manuel, accompanied by Non-executive Director Prof. Pedro Teta and senior FSDEA officials. This esteemed event gathers global leaders to discuss forward-looking strategies and build partnerships in the SWF investment landscape.

A highlight of Day 1 of the event was a productive exchange between Armando Manuel and billionaire investor Robert F. Smith, founder of Vista Equity Partners, who shared a keynote on transformative tech investments. Smith, a renowned figure in technology and finance, underscored the potential of tech-driven growth for global markets.

Notably, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, participated in the conference, offering insights into the role of technological advancements, including AI, and their implications for sovereign wealth investments.

FSDEA’s engagement at this forum underscores its commitment to sustainable investments that drive development across Angola and Africa.
