Condolences on the Passing of Mrs. Mawuena Adzo Trebarh

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we, the Board of Directors of the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund (FSDEA), extend our heartfelt condolences on the untimely passing of Mrs. Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, on April 10th 2024. Mawuena was not only a revered Chairperson and member of the Board of ASF Ghana Hotel Holding since April 2017, but also a pioneer in the investment community of Ghana.

Mawuena’s exceptional journey as the first female Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre from April 2013 to January 2017, highlighted her dedication and leadership in promoting investment opportunities across Ghana. Her tenure at GIPC was marked by significant advancements in facilitating and enhancing the business environment, fostering substantial economic growth.

Prior to her remarkable contributions at GIPC, Mawuena served as the Founding Director and Chief Business Strategist at Inspire Africa Consult Limited. Her visionary approach and strategic initiatives have indelibly shaped the business landscape, leaving a legacy of innovation and inspiration.
Mawuena’s passion, wisdom, and indefatigable spirit were not only invaluable to her professional roles but also radiated through her personal interactions. Her passing is a great loss to the community and all who knew her.

As we mourn the loss of a distinguished leader and cherished colleague, we also celebrate her extraordinary life and the enduring impact she has made on the world of business and beyond. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her during this profoundly difficult time.
