Andreia Vanessa de Sousa Simões

Master of Legal and Forensic Sciences, specialising in Civil/Criminal Law, from the Catholic University of Lisbon, Portugal. She holds a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, also in Portugal. In 2022, she completed the Kellogg/Católica Advanced Management Program CPLP.

Andreia Vanessa de Sousa Simões, married, of Angolan nationality, was born on 25 August 1985.

She served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market Commission (CMC), appointed by Presidential Decree No. 233/22, of 28 September.

She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Debt and Securities Exchange of Angola (BODIVA), where she held the position of Executive Director, overseeing the legal, regulatory, and administrative areas.

Vanessa Simões began her professional career in the field of law in 2012, working as a Consultant in various legal fields. She has gained extensive experience in mediation processes, banking litigation, and investment legal consultancy.
