Igor Ricardo de Pina Lima

Igor Ricardo de Pina Lima is a senior financial executive with extensive experience in sovereign asset management, corporate governance, public debt administration, and investment structuring. He has built a solid track record across both the public and private sectors, with a strong focus on value creation, financial discipline, and long-term sustainability.

Since December 2023, he has served as Executive Director of the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund (FSDEA), where he is part of the leadership team responsible for the definition and execution of the investment strategy, oversight of financial operations and alternative investments, and the continuous strengthening of the Fund’s governance standards, risk management frameworks, and operational efficiency. His work directly contributes to the optimisation of the sovereign portfolio and to aligning FSDEA’s investments with Angola’s strategic economic development priorities.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Namibia and a Postgraduate qualification in International Finance and Accounting from the University of Liverpool. He further strengthened his executive profile with a Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Corporate Governance Institute), awarded with Merit, enhancing his expertise in strategic oversight, ethics, and board effectiveness. He also completed an Executive Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment at Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management), with a focus on real estate finance, asset valuation, project structuring, and advanced investment strategies.

Throughout his career, he has held senior financial leadership roles in the corporate sector, including Chief Financial Officer, as well as high-responsibility positions in the public sector, notably at the Public Debt Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance, where he served as Deputy Director General, coordinating multiple departments responsible for sovereign debt management and public financing policies.

With advanced proficiency in financial and reporting systems, including Microsoft Office, Primavera, and DMFAS, Igor Ricardo de Pina Lima is recognised for his rigorous financial analysis, risk-return-based decision-making, and clear communication with institutional stakeholders and investors. He is also the author of the book 'O que sou' (Chiado Publishing, 2018).
